June WI meeting – June 13th

Our next meeting is taking place on June 13th, and we’ll be in room 4 of the International Community Centre on Mansfield Road as usual. The meeting begins at 7.30pm and will last until around 9.30pm.

We’ll also be hearing all about gardening from Ecoworks, and we’ll also be hosting a plant swap so if you have any seedlings or cuttings that you’d like to pass on to good homes, please bring them along!

New visitors are always welcome so if you think you’d like to check out the WI, please come along! Your first meeting is free, although we do ask everyone to pay 50p per meeting for unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits, plus there’s an optional raffle.

Denman College Courses May 2012 – Jan 2013

Denman College is the WIs residential college, set in beautiful countryside in Oxfordshire. Founded in 1948, it now offers classes in three areas – cookery, craft and lifestyle.

Classes at the college are open to both WI members and non members (WI members enjoy a member discount). WI members who’ve never visited Denman before can also enjoy a 10% discount on all courses until the end of October this year!

City WI May meeting – Wednesday 9th May

Hello – hope you’re having a lovely weekend! Just a quick update to tell you about our next City WI meeting which will be taking place this coming Wednesday the 9th May, at the usual time and place – 7.30pm in room 4 of the ICC on Mansfield Road.

This month we’re having a ‘craft n chat’ so bring along your sewing, knitting, decoupage or whatever you want!
