One sleep to go…

Post for City Women's Institute's fete

Well as the title of this post indicates, there’s only one more sleep left until City WI’s first fête – ‘A Twist of Fête’. The WI ladies are rather giddy (it feels like Christmas Eve!) and are busy baking cakes, organising stalls, arranging decorations, sending out publicity and putting together the freebie bags (for people signing up to the City WI mailing list). Phew!

Join us between 11am and 3pm upstairs in Cape bar, Hockley, Nottingham (map) for cakes, crafts, second hand books, jam and honey, vintage dresses and stalls by Pink & Lilly and Knit Nottingham. That’s a lot of joy in one room!

City WI and A Twist of Fête have been everywhere in the last week. You may have seen our posters and leaflets around Nottingham City Centre. We’ve also been invading t’internet, take a look us’ on…

We’ll be posting images of the fête on here after the event for your perusal – why not check to see if you feature!

We held our October meeting on Wednesday at the International Community Centre and we all took part (rather competitively) in some quizzes and were delighted to welcome four new members. If you’re interested in coming along to a City WI our meeting, our November meeting is on Wednesday 10 November at 7.30pm, International Community Centre, Nottingham. Our members are cooking their favourite recipes and will be bringing it (and the end result) in for all to try!

We hope to see you on Saturday!
